spring 2005 teaching

teaching

My second semester of TA mentoring at Purdue offered an introduction to the uses of drupal in the classroom. During the Spring 2005 semester of ENGL 106 sec. 17-02, I found myself offering the students a more centralized method of class communication, a classroom outside of the classroom. Through categorization and daily updates, the drupal site provided the students with a platform for building on previous discussions (a mode of facilitation which blogger does not offer--blogger merely provides archived recesses that the students for which the students must search and which are not readily available on the front pages of the website). I plan to integrate drupal further into my teaching of ENGL 108 Advanced Composition Learning Community for Computer Science freshman next semester.
