PLAGIARISM
Plagiarism is cheesy, cowardly, lame, and stupid, and entirely defeats the purpose of paying college tuition in the first place. It involves using someone else's work without citing them, including purchasing or downloading internet papers (I am an internet junkie; I will catch you), using uncited quotes, data, ideas, phrases, or actual words, blending uncited work or words from several sources into your own words, and summarizing or paraphrasing uncited work. You MUST MUST MUST cite all sources! Plagiarism is the lowest sin in an English course, especially for people as willing as yourselves to come here and pay to learn. Any first-time plagiarism will earn an F for the work in question; a second plagiarism will earn an F for the course. The university's plagiarism policy and procedures will be followed.
