Student Tased on UCLA Campus for Failing to Show I.D.

what do you think?

i could not even watch the

i could not even watch the entire video.  this is just ridiculous.  THERE WAS NO REASON for that young man to be treated like that.  i mean, Tasing him went a little too far.  really, was is that serious? now, those officers could possibly be on the verge of getting fired.  if i was there boss they would definetly be fired.  and they have it on tape and witnesses.  there is no way this should have went on for that long. ITS A DAMN SHAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ooooooookk

wow....i think people are gonna be pissed at me for what im about to say.  I think at first the cops doing ok.  they wanted the kids ID, he didnt give it, he was being defensive, he gets tased (not necessary but w/e), and then...yea.  after that the cops were pretty much being assholes.  there were enough cops that if they REALLY wanted him out right at that moment, they should have carried him out.  there was no need to keep tasing him.

Then I heard the cop at the end tell a different kid to get back or he would be tased too.  wtf is up with that?!?  everyone in there should have started a riot, in fact im surprised one didnt erupt.

Coolword

Excessive but student should still comply

The police in the video were being excessive but the student was also being ridiculous.  They were both in the wrong, if the student would have shown his ID this whole situation could have been avoided at the same time the cops were being rather free with the tazer being tazed makes your muscles not function so for him to be able to stand would have been amazing after the first taze the police should have picked him up and taken him to were ever they needed to. We also may have not seen the whole story. The police may have had a good reason to taze him the first time but after that they shouldn't have had a reason.

Finally

A film worth watching I thought it was funny that the kid kept saying they were abusing his rights instead of just giving his ID. In fact half the stuff the kid said didn't even apply to what they were doing. LOL This is what happens when you don't conform to the rules, but the tasing was a little exteme.

It is non-sense

I agree with you Wilson we need to see it in different ways not only through the students point of view. First of all the police are there for our security and we don't know who this guy is, if he was innocent of what they were suspecting him of, he should have proved it in the right way, which in this case is by following the rules of the officers. Showing his id how hard is that if you are innocent? secondly he was shouting things that doesn't even have to do with what the officers were looking for, so we might even not trust him when he said "don't touch me." in the beginning of the video. He probable was saying that before even they touch him to make him stand. I don't think it is the officers fault at all, and if there was any thing they did that was against the law, the kid have proven it just by doing the right thing( following their orders).

ok so wow...piss me off

ok so wow...piss me off...

First of all if the kid refused to show ID...he was leaving anyway! Secondly, they had no right to tase him for not showing the ID. Third...when you are tased your muscles contract leaving you in a fetal position or atleast incapacitated...thats the whole frickin point of the taser! SO telling him to stand after they tased him is a demand that is ridiculous. Also, at the end...the kid who is trying to get the badge numbers of the cops is threatened by an officer that if he doesn't back up behind the pillars that he will also be tased...um...hello...what would happen if we threatened to tase a cop? oh yeah...thats jailable...

Dude, This is retarded. I

Dude, This is retarded. I didn't even watch the whole thing because the camera man can't video tape for SHIT!
Ef this -
if the kid didn't show ID, thats his fault, the cops are out of control too. Power hungry and what-not.

Lame...
