Ruby Tuesday's went smoke-free in October 2004 and has seen an increase in business since. With a centrally located bar, the smell of cigarette smoke used to permeate the whole restaurant. And the decision to promote a "healthier family environment" by banning smoking has received few complaints and mostly positive feedback.

If you're not concerned about identity theft happening to you, you should be. Detective Jeff Rooze from the Lafayette Police Department said he sees a dozen cases of identity theft a week. It can take anywhere from a month to 14 months after identity theft occurs for the victim to discover it, according to Rooze. Some don't find out for years.

About 30 firefighters battled 90-degree heat but managed to save at least a portion of a historic Lafayette apartment building late Wednesday morning.
